REGENESIS Chiropractic

Relieve Pain. Restore Movement. Build Capacity for the Years Ahead.

Individualized chiropractic care in Sarasota focused on improving joint motion, mechanics, movement, and function—then helping you build the physical capacity to stay active for the years ahead.

What Chiropractic Is at Its Core

Helping the Body Move and Function the Way It Was Designed To.

At its core, chiropractic is about improving how your joints move and how your musculoskeletal system functions. Your joints, muscles, connective tissues, and nervous system work together to create and control movement. When movement becomes restricted or the body begins compensating, mechanical stress can increase.

Chiropractic care uses controlled joint treatment, including adjustments when appropriate, to help improve joint motion and mechanics. The goal is not simply to treat the area that hurts—it is to help restore better movement and function.

Clinical Evaluation

Our Approach to Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic care at REGENESIS is individualized and focused on understanding the mechanical factors contributing to pain, stiffness, restricted movement, and impaired function.

Evaluation may include spinal mechanics, joint mobility, muscular tension and imbalance, posture, movement patterns, and neurological findings when relevant.

The REGENESIS Difference

More Than an Adjustment. A Strategy for How You Move.

At REGENESIS, chiropractic care is more than simply treating the area that hurts. Recommendations are based on how your spine, joints, muscles, posture, movement, and function work together.

The objective is to help you move and function better while addressing the mechanical factors that may be contributing to your symptoms.

Chiropractic care has also been an important part of Dr. McMurry’s own approach to maintaining mobility, joint function, movement quality, and an active lifestyle following his spinal disc injury.

Why Mechanics Matter

The body is an interconnected biomechanical system. Joints provide movement, muscles create and control movement, connective tissues provide support, and the nervous system helps coordinate movement, sensation, balance, and muscle activity. When motion is restricted or movement patterns change, the body often compensates. Over time, altered mechanics may increase stress on joints and surrounding tissues and contribute to pain, stiffness, restricted movement, and declining function.

A chiropractic adjustment is a controlled force applied to a joint to help improve motion and function. Depending on the patient, care may also include manual therapy, mobility work, corrective exercise, and strengthening. The adjustment can help restore movement; rehabilitation helps the body control and maintain it; strength helps support it; and better movement habits help protect it.

A Simple Way to Think About It

A car can keep driving even when its mechanics are no longer working efficiently, but other parts may begin taking on extra stress. The body can compensate in a similar way. You may keep moving for years, but altered movement and repeated compensation can place additional stress on joints, muscles, discs, and surrounding tissues.

The goal is not perfect alignment. The goal is better movement, better function, and less unnecessary mechanical stress.

Conditions Commonly Evaluated

Care Guided by Clinical Findings

Back pain
Neck pain
Spinal stiffness
Restricted mobility
Mechanical joint pain
Certain headache patterns associated with the neck
Sports and activity-related musculoskeletal problems
Hip and shoulder movement problems where appropriate

Chiropractic care may help depending upon the cause and the findings of your examination.

Movement Restoration & Rehabilitation

Improving joint motion is only part of restoring function. Depending on your findings, care may also address posture, mobility, flexibility, muscle balance, strength, stability, and movement patterns.

Corrective exercise, mobility work, manual muscle and soft-tissue therapy, postural rehabilitation, strengthening, balance and stability training, and other supportive therapies may be incorporated when appropriate to help you control, maintain, and protect better movement.
